Thank you for your interest in the Certified Interim Innkeeper (CII) program offered by the Interim Innkeepers Network (IIN). This Certification means that you have demonstrated initiative and pride in your profession and have met or exceeded a baseline standard developed by our nationally recognized professional association. Certification aids Innkeepers in knowing that you have the education and experience needed to successfully run their inns in a professional manner.
You must be a member of IIN in order to apply for and maintain your CII status. If you are not already a member, you may submit the membership application and dues prior to submitting your application for certification. As a member, there is no additional charge for the processing of your CII application.
After you have joined IIN, you will be able to access and complete the CII application form. Please complete the form and attach copies of the certificates and referrals as instructed. Remember to save a copy of each for yourself. Send all paperwork together in the same mailing to Gayle Ballard, IIN President, PO Box 571, Lompoc, CA 93438. If you have questions, please email Gayle at

. You will be issued a certificate once all information is received and reviewed for completeness.
In order to keep your CII certification current, it is your responsibility to update IIN records when renewing your CPR, first aid, and ServSafe certificates. When date appropriate, this can be done by mailing a copy of the new certificate(s) to Gayle Ballard (address above). Interim Innkeepers Network membership is required for continued acknowledgement and use of your CII status.
We are pleased to offer you this opportunity to become a Certified Interim Innkeeper. Certification will distinguish your personal development and dedication to the growing business of interim innkeeping. It will assist innkeepers in finding the right person to care for their guests and their business. It symbolizes additional credibility and increased value above the norm. Certification also has the potential to provide more assignments and benefits for the Interim Innkeeper, as it indicates your commitment to being a well trained professional.
Thank you for your interest!
